Is there a guarantee that I will get the room I have booked?
Landlords are required to open the dates in the calendar tool for which their rooms are for rent. By doing so, they make a valid offer. Thus, when you book a date, a valid contract is signed between you and the landlord. The landlord makes sure that the room is available at that date.


Is the commission I pay refundable?
No, expo-rooms offers no cancellations and refunds. This helps us to keep administrative costs low, which results in low prices. If you need to cancel your booking, please contact your landlord and find a solution with him. If you do so in time, your landlord can re-open the date for booking and may be able to find a replacement for you.  If an accommodation was effectively not available (e.g. mistake of the landlord), we will refund your reservation fee asap.

This rule does not apply if the room you booked is no longer available because your landlord made a mistake. In that case your reservation fee will be refunded.

What do I have to do after receiving the contact information?
All you need to do is make sure you understood correctly how the rent is to be paid and act accordingly.

If you have special requests (late arrival, additional services, airport pickup etc.) or questions, you may wish to contact your landlord personally.

It is considered polite and a token of reliability if you contact your landlord in any case to announce your arrival time.

How do I know that a landlord is reliable?

expo-rooms encourages their customers to provide feedback on landlords. If we receive repeated complaints that a landlord is unreliable, the respective landlord will be excluded from our website.


What is included in the price?

All rates are per accommodation per night. At that price, you can bring as many people as the indicated maximum occupancy (indicated in the search result display and accommodation details).

Breakfast is not included in the price! If your landlord offers the option of providing breakfast, you will have to pay for it on a per person basis. Please inform your landlord about your wishes when you contact them after booking.

Any additional services, like pickup from the airport, parking etc. are not included in the price! Please inform your landlord in advance if you would like to use any additional services.

Cleaning costs are always included in the price!

All prices are end prices. There are no hidden costs, no surprises. You pay the rent indicated in the room profile plus the commission for expo-rooms, that's it! If the landlord is an agency, their fees and commissions must be included in the rent. Additional fees after your booking are not allowed at expo-rooms.


Travelling with children
If you have children traveling with you, there's a simple rule: if a child is small enough to share a bed with a parent, the child doesn't count as a person. Small children do not count towards the maximum of persons allowed by the landlord. Thus, a room with a maximum of 2 persons allowed can accommodate up to 2 adults + 2 small children.

If your child is too tall to share a bed, the safest bet is to select a room with 3 beds.

Some landlords offer an additional children's bed. Be aware that your landlord may have only one children's bed, but several rooms, so availability of the extra bed can not be guaranteed. Also, the size of the children's beds may vary considerably.


Can I re-use the address of a landlord?
Yes, of course, you can do that! expo-rooms is happy for you if you can make some extra savings! Please make sure your landlord blocks those dates for  booking, in order to avoid double bookings.

How can I pay on expo-rooms?
In order to book your accommodation on expo-rooms, the reservation fee will be charged to your credit card. The total price of the room has to be paid directly to the landlord and is not part of the payment process on expo rooms. Your landlord has defined his payment requirements in the room details.

How many persons are included in the room rate?
The rate for the accommodation is per night and per accommodation, not per person. Your landlord has defined the number of people the accommodation can host comfortably. You are allowed to fully use this capacity or to rent the accommodation just for you alone. You are not allowed to exceed the indicated maximum occupancy.

How much does it cost?
Guests will pay a Reservation Fee to expo-rooms and the Room Rate to the Landlord.

  • The Reservation Fee
    You will pay a small fee, called the Reservation Fee, when you book your room. We will charge this fee to your credit card during the booking procedure. After payment of this fee, the room will be reserved for you for the period selected.
  • The room price
    Your Landlord / Hotel will charge you for the room per night. In the detail view of the room the Landlords have defined their individual payment requirements. Depending on your landlord you will have to pay in advance, on arrival, by credit card or cash etc.
